We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to assist our team across the Summer at our busy seasonal cafe. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working under pressure, maintains a high level of efficiency and cleanliness, and is passionate about creating delicious food. Skills and experience in baking would be advantageous.
Full-time and part-time hours available throughout the summer.
We are open throughout the summer months, including public holidays and the
Christmas/New Year period. Availability over this period is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of fresh cabinet food, baking and seasonal treats
- Work alongside the Head Chef to maintain efficient workflows
- Consistently deliver high standards of food
- Run efficient food storage, waste minimization, and food prep systems
- Maintain impeccable food quality and presentation, adhering to established guidelines.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, with NZ Certificate in Cookery or Culinary Diploma or equivalent by on-the-job training.
- Passionate about producing great food in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of workspace cleanliness and personal hygiene
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable transport and clean driver’s licence
